Remington have guided the firm with strong, consistent leadership.  With their direction, Remington & Vernick has continually grown, adding affiliates and expanding operations in strategic locations throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

Stable leadership has been critical to our success.  That stability extends to the Remington & Vernick workforce.  Over half of the skilled professionals on staff have been with the firm for more than 10 years, providing added strength to a solid organization.

Mr. Arango has over 25 years of engineering experience. As Executive Vice President, he is responsible for the support of all projects under taken in both Burlington and Mercer Counties. As of January 2002, this office became Remington, Vernick & Arango Engineers, an affiliate of Remington & Vernick Engineers. Mr. Arango represents the firm at various public meetings and serves as Municipal Engineer to New Jersey communities. In support of Planning and Zoning Boards, he serves as Principal Review Engineer responsible for all engineering aspects of planning and zoning applications, including road design, grading, drainage, and utilities. Specific areas of expertise include drainage, roadways, bridges, utility piping systems, plans and specification preparation, engineering estimates and report preparation.


THOMAS F. BEACH, P.E., C.M.E.

Conshohocken (PA), Mechanicsburg (PA), Pittsburgh (PA), Newark (DE)

Mr. Beach joined the firm in 1986 and has a wealth of experience in the field of engineering. As Executive Vice President, he is responsible for all engineering projects supported in Delaware and Pennsylvania. He supervises a staff of professional engineers in the design of water and wastewater management systems, highways and roadways, bridges, dams and structures, park and recreation facilities, and building and structures, along with the support of planning, surveying, landscape architecture, and construction management/inspection projects. He manages a very broad-based team of specialists, utilizing engineers, planners, surveyors, CADD operations, and construction specialists. In February of 1998, Mr. Beach was appointed to his present position where he directs all Pennsylvania and Delaware operations. As of January 2001, these offices became Remington, Vernick & Beach Engineers, an affiliate of Remington & Vernick Engineers. Mr. Beach's personal areas of expertise include structural and foundation engineering, water and sewer treatment plant design, sewer pump station design, and structural design. Mr. Beach has served as Project Engineer for a variety of projects. These include the design and construction of concrete foundations, tanks, walls, dams, bridges, bulkheads, roadway improvements, water and wastewater facilities, pump stations and other miscella¬neous buildings and structures. Mr. Beach oversees the complete management and operation of the Delaware and Pennsylvania staffs of more than 15 professionals, with access to the corporation’s full resources from eight locations throughout the tri-state region. In this role, he is responsible for all efforts in completing projects on time and within budget for each client served.


EDWARD J. WALBERG, P.E., P.P., C.M.E.

Pleasasntville (NJ), Wildwood (NJ)

Mr. Walberg has over 20 years of engineering experience, and currently serves as Executive Vice President of Remington, Vernick & Walberg Engineers with offices in Atlantic and Cape May Counties. He coordinates the engineering and planning services for all the firm's clients in the two-county area. Since joining the firm, Mr. Walberg has served as Engineer for a variety of projects, including on-site construction inspection, concrete and pavement, water and sewer, and structural engineering projects. He is responsible for the coordination and preparation of all specifications, evaluation of existing structures and testing. He has a working knowledge of the procedures of various regulatory/agen¬cies, as well as the acquisition of permits. Additional experience includes the painting of steel structures and water tanks, design and engineering of new and renovated HVAC systems for various buildings, sewer pump stations, water main extension projects, and both sanitary and storm sewer mains. He has performed inflow and infiltration studies for sewer collection systems and many on-site inspections of construction facilities. As a Professional Engineer, Mr. Walberg represents the firm to various public agencies, including municipalities, counties and State agencies.

 


MICHAEL D. VENA, P.E., P.P., C.M.E., (1953-2006)

Toms River (NJ), Old Bridge (NJ)

Mr. Vena joined Remington & Vernick Engineers in 1985. Until the end of 1988, he served as the Department Head for General Engineering and Planning. He was responsible for reports, designs, plans, and specifications for a wide-range of municipal engineering projects. Mr. Vena also performed numerous Infiltration/Inflow studies and supervised the rehabilitation projects that resulted. Over the years, Mr. Vena has served as Municipal/MUA Engineer to a number of municipalities in the Middlesex/Ocean/Monmouth County region. In January of 1989, Mr. Vena was appointed to direct the regional offices located in Toms River and Old Bridge. As of January 1994, these offices became Remington, Vernick & Vena Engineers, an affiliate of Remington & Vernick Engineers. Mr. Vena continued to oversee the complete management and operation of the offices and their staffs of more than 30 professionals until his passing in 2006.

Our Toms River office is now run by Alan Dittenhoffer. The Old Bridge office is run by Terry Vogt.
